whats A 40/40 Fire set?

this build says to use it

im assuming a wand and off hand? with certain inscriptions
can someone give me an example of what i should be using?

20% half skill recharge chance, 20% half skill casting time chance, on both wand and offhand.

An example green set for a fire ele would be Hajkor's Flame and Droknar's Fire Focus.

The exact mods you're looking for if you want to make it yourself are a Wand Wrapping of Memory and "Attitude Not Aptitude" inscription for wand, Focus Core of Aptitude and "Forget Me Not" inscription for offhand.

The biggest problem of the focus and wand combo being that you can't put a 20% enchanting mod on a wand which for me is the deal breaker.

A staff can give you the 20% enchant mod and also 20/20. It is more balanced and probably wont make much of a difference in pve.

Just swap on 20% ench staff when casting fire attu etc. and then swap to 40/40 set to spam your fire spells.

You do realise there is nothing stopping you from having both a 40/40 and a staff with +20% enchant?

And both of you realize this is the Heroes & AI section, right? Weapon swapping for them in battle would be pro.

Just give them 40/40 sets, they'll notice if their enchantments run out and recast them.

For clarity's sake, I should mention that personally I run my offensive caster heroes with 40/40 sets and then give my monks a +30 offhand.

That's why I just use a 40/20/20 staff in almost all cases.

I keep too many low req rares, mini-pets, mods, and insignia and free inventory space is getting hard to find among my characters and I hate trading. Alternate weapons take up too much space.

Makes hardly any difference in pve anyway.

make a mule char or use storage....

as far as heros go, i personaly put them all in a defense set, with a shield vs slash.

id rather have my heros take less dmg then be more effective in skill casting.

Inventory space is an even bigger issue right now with all the new books. It is either that teensy weensy advantage from alternate weapon or having the space to pick up rares. I only have 1 or 2 squares left on my most of my chars. I already have a mule and she is already full.

I have 5 mules and a full storage. As soon as i get my HoM full, i expect to have close to 10 mules After armor sets, minipets and tormented weapons.

I barely care about minipets, tormented weapon, greens ect. tbh and still have trouble with storage. :P
